Karuna Reiki® is an expression of the evolving nature of Reiki. Karuna Reiki is an outgrowth of Usui/Tibetan Reiki which has been developed by William Lee Rand - Reiki Master. It is considered to be a higher level of energy than Traditional Usui Reiki. Karuna is a Sanskrit word that means compassionate action.  It involves any action that is taken to diminish the suffering of others.  If Usui Reiki is the Reiki of universal love, then Karuna Reiki® is the Reiki of universal compassion.
